Alpha Course
What is Alpha?
The Alpha course is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith.
It’s relaxed, low key, friendly and fun.
There is a meal together at the beginning of each session which gives you an opportunity to get to know each other.
Listen, learn, discuss and discover. And ask anything. Alpha is a place where no question is too simple or too hostile.
And it’s supported by all the main Christian denominations.
What’s involved?
The Alpha course consists of a series of talks looking at topics such as ‘Who is Jesus?’ and ‘Why and how do I pray?’ After each talk we divide into small groups for a time of discussion.
Who is Alpha for?
Alpha is for everyone, including people who are:
- wanting to explore the meaning of life
- interested to consider the claims of Jesus
- looking for answers to things eternal
- new Christians wanting to learn more
What will it cost?
There is no charge for the Alpha course, albeit there is an opportunity available for donation toward food costs if people would like to contribute.
When?
The next alpha course commences with an Introductory Dinner on 19 March 2012 at a venue yet to be confirmed. Come to this dinner as our guests before you decide to commit to the 10 week course which starts on Monday 2 April 2012 (dates subject to change).
