talk about how to connect

Some ways to connect

Here are just some ways you can get better connected...

Attend Sunday or Tuesday services

Besides the opportunity to experience God's presence, worship and teaching, RBC services are a great way to meet people and form friendships. Why not have a chat over a cuppa after the morning service, hang out after the evening service or come for lunch before the Tuesday service?

Tamil services

As well as our regular English speaking services you are welcome to join us for a Tamil service. These are held on the third Saturday of the month at 7:30 in the evening.

Join a Connect Group

Life sharing small groups or special interest groups are a great way to get connected. Groups are open and meet at various times during the week. For more information please contact Sandy Bartel sandy [at] rostrevorbaptist [dot] asn [dot] au

Children’s Church Program from 0 to Year 6

We provide children’s church at the 9.30am service during the school term.

Our belief is that every child has the right to feel safe, have fun and learn about themselves and God in a friendly caring environment.

Sparkle Crèche: 0 - 1 years

Starts 9.50am
Families can enjoy a video link of the service, whilst caring for their young child.

Shine: 1 - 3 years

Starts 9.50am
In Shine we start to engage children in learning about the Bible and themselves.  We use interactive play, song, craft and games to help little ones develop their understanding of the Bible.

Ignite: 3- 5 years

Starts 9.50am
We continue to build on what these children have been learning through Shine.  We do this through play, worship, craft, games and interactive teaching.

Blaze: Reception - Year 1

Starts 9.50am
During their early school years, we deepen and encourage their relationship with God using games, craft, puppets and drama.

Illuminate: Years 2 - 6 (at school)

Starts 9.30am
Illuminate aims to build on the children’s knowledge of the Bible using craft, drama, puppets&multimedia presentations.  Children will also enjoy special ‘worship focus’ days with a live band, and other special events.  We encourage daily devotions and for children to start working out “why” we believe what we believe.

Connect Small Groups

Connect Small Groups

Welcome to the Connect Small Group Ministry of Rostrevor Baptist Church.

What are Connect Small Groups?

Connect Groups are small groups of people who meet together regularly in an informal environment – usually in homes but potentially could be anywhere! Our vision is to provide Connect Groups that are Loving, Inclusive, and Invitational. Groups which provide and nurture an environment where every person can find a place to belong and participate in our four ministry foundations of reaching up, reaching out, reaching down and reaching around.

We also have Special Interest Small Groups, which get together over a mutual interest, need or hobby.

Why join a Connect Small Group?

It is difficult to get to know people and form meaningful relationships when there is a large number of people gathered. We often don’t get past the superficial.   A great way to really get to know others, and to connect into the fellowship at RBC is by joining a Connect Small Group. At the same time you will be connecting more deeply with God and learning what it means to follow Him. In a Connect group you will enjoy fellowship, support, biblical teaching and fun!! We therefore encourage everyone to not only be a part of our services, but also to be vitally connected through a Connect Small Group. There is a Connect Group to Suit Everyone.

Connect Groups:

  • Evening groups (various nights)
  • Daytime groups
  • Men's groups
  • Ladies groups (one with crèche facilities)
  • Mixed groups
  • Groups for youth
  • Groups for adults
  • Groups for seniors
